The Ministry of Defense announced the repulse of an attack by six ATACMS ballistic missiles in the Bryansk region

Last night, the Russian air defense forces repelled an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike a military facility in the Bryansk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, on November 19, after 03:25, the enemy fired six American-made ATACMS ballistic missiles.

As a result of the anti-missile battle, the combat crews of the S-400 air defense system and the Pantsir missile defense system shot down five missiles and damaged one. Fragments of the damaged missile fell on the technical territory of the military facility, causing a fire. According to the ministry, the fire was quickly eliminated, there were no damages or casualties.

Earlier, Ukraine received permission from US President Joe Biden to strike ATACMS missiles deep into the Russian Federation. In response, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the updated nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation.
