The Government of the Russian Federation is launching a program of preferential loans for projects to preserve cultural heritage sites.
The new support measures are aimed at entrepreneurs who are ready to restore cultural monuments. They will be provided with loans at a preferential rate, which will reduce the cost of restoration work.Preferential loans will be issued as part of a pilot project of a long-term program for the preservation of cultural heritage, which is being implemented in eight regions: the Trans-Baikal Territory, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Ryazan, Samara, Smolensk, Tver and Yaroslavl regions.
«This solution will help preserve many cultural heritage sites that are in poor condition», – Mikhail Mishustin noted. He stressed the importance of strict control over budget spending by the Ministry of Culture.
The program was developed on behalf of the President. By 2030, more than 50 billion rubles will be allocated for its implementation.
