The Federation Council is preparing a new bill regulating bug bounty - the involvement of "white hackers" to search for vulnerabilities in IT systems. This is reported by «Kommersant»/a>.

According to the publication, the draft law is being developed by the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy at the Federation Council together with representatives of the cybersecurity market. It is assumed that companies related to critical information infrastructure will be required to conduct bug bounty. Certain requirements will be imposed on both the test participants (platform operators and information system owners) and the testers themselves.

If, according to the results of bug bounty &white hackers » find a vulnerability, the owner of the infrastructure will have to transfer the relevant information to the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control, which will be entrusted with the control of bug bounty.
