The top manager of Rostelecom was sent under arrest on suspicion of especially large-scale fraud

The Basmanny Court of Moscow has arrested a top manager of Rostelecom, Vladimir Shadrin, who is suspected of committing a particularly large fraud. At the company, Shadrin served as head of the department of the Center for Cybersecurity and Protection.

The court also placed under arrest another person involved in the case - the CEO of the company &Compliance Software» Anton Menchits. According to investigators, both are involved in the theft of funds intended for the purchase of software licenses. According to media reports, we are talking about damage in the amount of 180 million rubles.

Both defendants in the criminal case were arrested for 2 months, until January 12, 2025.
