The Central Bank may no longer raise the key rate at the next meeting, as the situation is leveling off. This opinion was voiced by the head of the State Duma Committee on the financial market, Anatoly Aksakov.

"I assume that the key rate will not be raised, because the situation is already under control and inflationary processes will be restrained," the TASS news agency quoted him as saying.

The next meeting of the Central Bank, which will consider the issue of the key rate, is scheduled for December 28. Earlier, the regulator raised the rate by 200 percentage points at once, to 21% per annum.
