Turkey has received an offer to become a partner state and an associate member of the BRICS. This was stated by the Minister of Trade of the Republic Omer Bolat.

“BRICS is a cooperation organization that unites important countries with 25% of global GDP. The popularity of BRICS is growing. Turkey has been offered associate membership. Joining BRICS will bring significant benefits in terms of cooperation with global platforms," haber TV channel quotes Bolat.

Earlier, Uganda received an offer to become a partner of the association.

Also recall that the leaders of the BRICS countries have decided not to accept new participants yet. So far, a number of states will be assigned the status of partners of the association.
