Producers of mineral fertilizers have asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to cancel price fixing for their products and index prices by 15% from 2025. This is reported by TASS with reference to a representative of the industry.

According to a market participant, prices for fertilizers were "frozen" in 2021, since then gas prices have been indexed three times, salaries have been indexed and transportation tariffs have increased. The proposed indexation by 15% in the industry was called "reasonable".

"Prices for fertilizers in the domestic market were voluntarily "frozen" by producers at the request of the authorities in July 2021 to provide products to Russian farmers. Then the price fixing was extended until the end of May 2022, in June they were indexed by 5%, and in September - by another 5-10%, followed by fixation.
• Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation extended the quota for the export of fertilizers from December 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025. The total volume of the export quota for this period was set at 19.2 million tons.
