The volume of cloud data service development in Russia will grow to 464 billion rubles by 2028

One of the largest mobile operators in Russia plans to invest 20 billion rubles in expanding its data center infrastructure over the next three years. This is reported by the publication «Forbes » with reference to the words of the president of the company.

Now the operator has 15 data centers, of which two mega-data centers (data centers) in the Moscow region, with a total of 4,600 racks. In the near future, their number will increase to 7,100-7600 racks. The company plans to build at least five data centers, as well as significantly expand the three existing ones.

Large investments will be made in the development of the cloud data service. Recall that the volume of the Russian cloud infrastructure services market will grow 3.8 times in the coming years and reach 464 billion rubles in 2028, compared with 121 billion rubles in 2023.
