In Russia, 6G standards will be developed in 2025

Starting from 2025, scientific research on the development of sixth-generation (6G) communication standards will begin in Russia. Such plans were announced by the head of the Ministry of Finance Maksut Shadaev, reports TASS.

According to him, experts from friendly countries will be involved in the research. The work will be carried out within the framework of the national project "Data Economy". According to the communications industry strategy approved by 2035, pilot operation of domestic 5G and 6G equipment will begin in 2030 and 2035, respectively.
