The profit from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation for 1.4 billion euros went to provide military assistance to Ukraine

The European Union has transferred military aid to Ukraine from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets. This is with reference to the statement of the first deputy head of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, the press service of the EC reports.

We are talking about an amount of 1.4 billion euros. It was noted that this is the first tranche, and also that Kiev will not receive these funds directly.The money was transferred through the European Peace Fund for the supply of weapons, including artillery ammunition and air defense equipment. Most of the arms supplies to Kiev are promised to be realized by the end of the year.
