Two officers of the military representation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are suspected of receiving bribes in the amount of 11 million rubles

lt;p>Officers of the military representation of the Ministry of Defense Ivan Populovsky and Grigory Zorin are suspected of taking bribes on a particularly large scale. This is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The total amount of bribes is more than 11 million rubles. The defendants received funds for loosening control over the acceptance of goods under the state defense order.

We are talking about the supply of electrical products and cable for 1.2 billion rubles. Populovsky and Zorin pleaded guilty. At the moment, investigators are checking them for involvement in similar crimes.

«A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («Receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale») regarding the head of the 4924 military representation of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ivan Populovsky, and his subordinate Grigory Zorin, the message says.
