The volume of microloans in the Russian Federation has doubled in a year

In 2024, the volume of loans issued by microfinance organizations has almost doubled year-on-year. This is reported by RBC with reference to the data «Scoring Bureau».

So, in May of this year, Russians concluded more than 6.3 million contracts with microfinance organizations for a total amount of 81.4 billion rubles, whereas in the same period last year, the volume of issuance amounted to 46.6 billion rubles.

According to the publication, the growth in the volume of microloans was also recorded by experts from the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI). From May 2023 to May 2024, this figure increased from 32.2 billion to 44.6 billion rubles.
