The Bosphorus Strait is currently blocked in both directions due to an accident with a tanker that was en route from Russia. This is reported by the publication «Kommersant ».

Then the tanker stopped at the entrance to the Bosphorus Strait, which caused a traffic jam. Many transport companies have suffered heavy losses due to this accident.

The cause of the breakdown turned out to be a malfunction in the engine, after the ship stopped at the northern entrance to the Bosphorus Strait, tugs were sent to it. It is still unknown whether the tanker was removed from the strait.
