According to Alexey Poroshin, a member of the General Council of Business Russia, the problem goes far beyond the sanctions against the Moscow Stock Exchange — banks from China do not want to work with any yuan with a Russian footprint.

Experts «Vedomosti» note that banks cannot check the purity of the local currency, therefore they study transaction histories in order to minimize sanctions risks in the future.
