The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) and the Ministry of Finance opposed the proposal of the Ministry of Energy to increase electricity tariffs for mining centers. This is reported by the publication "Kommersant".
According to the FAS and the Ministry of Finance, such an initiative will discriminate against legal entrepreneurs and may affect data processing centers, which in turn may undermine the operation of critical information infrastructure in the digital sphere. The Ministry of Energy has already sent comments on the draft government resolution developed by energy specialists. Now the document is awaiting significant edits.
