Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that will allow Russian developers and manufacturers of unmanned aircraft systems and their components to receive state support. The law has already been published on the official legal information portal.

In accordance with the new law, a unified register of organizations engaged in the development and production of unmanned aircraft systems and their components will be created in Russia. In addition, the new law provides for measures to stimulate engineering and industrial design activities.

Such an initiative gives such organizations access to various state support measures. The procedure for the formation and maintenance of the unified register will be approved by the government of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will form and maintain it.

The changes will take effect 180 days after the official publication of the law. The law itself, which contains other norms, will enter into force on July 1, 2024./p>
