### Insurance Premiums for Owners of Hazardous Facilities to Change in Russia Starting November 1, insurance rates for owners of hazardous facilities in Russia will be adjusted. The new terms of mandatory insurance for civil liability in case of accidents will reduce the lower limit of the premium range for most categories of such facilities. According to the Russian Central Bank (CBR), the updated rates are designed to more accurately reflect the likelihood of accidents at specific facilities. The review took into account the dynamics of insurance premiums and payouts over the past few years. The reduction in the lower limit of the premium range will vary depending on the category of hazardous facility: - **25% reduction** for production facilities with pressure equipment, petrochemical and mining companies, hydraulic structures, and mines. - **50% reduction** for oil and gas extraction companies, metallurgical plants, facilities using explosives, and cranes. - **75% reduction** for other categories of hazardous facilities. Meanwhile, the upper limit of the premium range will only change for certain hazardous production facilities equipped with pressure equipment. For these facilities, it will increase by 25%.
