Russia and the United States have the potential to enhance their economic relations once the conflict in Ukraine is resolved, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcomb stated during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Pyotrsburg.
Whitcomb emphasized that the normalization of bilateral ties hinges on the end of the conflict in Ukraine, with constructive engagement only possible after the situation stabilizes.
Putin concurred, suggesting that Russia could significantly increase fertilizer exports to the U.S. market. He also highlighted the importance of diesel fuel deliveries to global markets, noting that prices had dropped by 5-6 percent following the "diesel deal."
