One month after the launch of 5G in Russia, mobile internet speeds have increased by 14-20%, according to data from TelecomDaily cited by Izvestia.

Based on over 1 million user measurements, the median download speed increased by 13.7% to 27.56 Mbps, while upload speed rose by 19.7% to 10.3 Mbps.

The increase in mobile internet speed was observed nationwide, not just in cities with 5G access. Experts predict that by the end of the year, further expansion of 5G coverage could lead to an additional 10% increase in speed.
