Nearly 120,000 Conscripts to Be Drafted for Military Service in Autumn 2026

Approximately 120,000 Russian citizens are expected to be drafted into military service during the autumn recruitment campaign, according to Colonel General Evgeniy Burdinsky, head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Department of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, in an interview with the Russian military newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" (Red Star).

Burdinsky stated that the deployment of conscripts from regional collection points will begin on October 10 and continue throughout October-December. Prior to this, necessary measures will be taken in the regions to form military units.

Different schedules apply to certain categories of conscripts. In the Far North regions and areas with similar conditions, deployment to service locations will take place from November 1 to December 31.

Citizens living in rural areas and directly involved in seasonal agricultural work will begin their deployment to service locations from October 15, Burdinsky clarified.
