Websites of Several Russian Banks Inaccessible in Foreign Browsers

Websites of several major Russian banks have become inaccessible through some foreign browsers, according to RBC.

Chrome, Safari, and Edge are unable to open the websites of VTB, Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, Rosselkhozbank, Promsvyazbank, Uralsib, and St. Pyotrsburg Bank. However, the sites are accessible through Yandex Browser.

Experts attribute this issue to the revocation of foreign SSL certificates by these platforms and their transition to certificates issued by the National Certification Center of the Ministry of Digital Development (MinTsvet). These security certificates are not supported by most foreign browsers.
