Welders, Auto Mechanics, Body Repairers Top List of Highest-Paid Blue-Collar Jobs

In the first half of 2026, the highest-paying blue-collar jobs in Russia were welder, auto mechanic, auto body repairer, gas welder, auto painter, plasterer, auto electrician, bricklayer, rebar worker, and finisher, according to a study by Avito Rabota (a leading Russian job platform), as reported by RBC.

Welders earned an average monthly salary of 234,800 rubles ($3,000), auto mechanics 178,100 rubles ($2,300), and auto body repairers 175,600 rubles ($2,250).

Gas welders were offered 166,500 rubles ($2,150) per month, auto painters 158,900 rubles ($2,050), plasterers 156,000 rubles ($2,000), auto electricians 150,000 rubles ($1,900), bricklayers 150,000 rubles ($1,900), rebar workers 142,100 rubles ($1,800), and finishers 137,400 rubles ($1,750). These figures represent average values from salary ranges listed in job postings on the platform, with actual earnings depending on region, experience, and qualifications.

Experts point out that blue-collar professions continue to drive wage growth in the labor market. Demand for auto body repairers (+144%), construction workers (+127%), and auto mechanics (+104%) saw the strongest increase.
