Russia and China are discussing the possibility of establishing a permanent visa-free travel regime between the two countries, according to Andrey Rudenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, in an interview with Arctic.ru.
"We are discussing with China the prospects of establishing permanent visa-free travel for citizens," Rudenko clarified.
He noted that the introduction of a visa-free regime between Russia and China has already boosted tourism exchanges. In 2025, the number of tourist trips between the two countries increased by 17%, exceeding 3 million trips. The goal is to double this figure by 2030.
