Blacksmiths have become one of the most sought-after blue-collar professions in Russia during the first half of 2026, according to a study by Avito Rabota, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The number of job openings for blacksmiths in the country has increased by 141% year-on-year. The average monthly salary for a blacksmith stands at 130,900 rubles (approximately $1,650 USD).

The rise in demand for professionals in this field is attributed to the active development of the machinery and construction sectors, as well as an increased interest in craft professions and the production of unique metal products.
