Putin Discusses Critical Defense Industry Material Supply at Security Council Meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin convened an urgent meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, focusing on ensuring the defense industry with materials and raw materials for the production of modern weapons.

Opening the session, the head of state emphasized that Russia is among the few countries capable of independently developing and producing the necessary materials for serial production of advanced weaponry, as well as for upgrading existing military equipment.

According to the president, addressing these challenges requires coordinated efforts from various government agencies, as defense industry supply issues affect a wide range of sectors.

"As always happens, in such a large-scale effort, many questions arise that concern practically every department represented here," Putin said.
