### Russian Domestic Tourism Grows by 6.2% in First Five Months of 2026 Tourists made 34.2 million trips across Russia from January to May 2026, marking a 6.2% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data released by Rosstat (the Russian Federal State Statistics Service). The most popular destinations for domestic tourism during this period were: - Moscow (5.2 million trips) - Krasnodar Krai (3.2 million trips) - Moscow Oblast (2.7 million trips) - St. Pyotrsburg (2.6 million trips) - Tatarstan (1.2 million trips) - Crimea (862,000 trips) - Sverdlovsk Oblast (859,000 trips) - Tyumen Oblast (794,000 trips) - Rostov Oblast (689,000 trips) - Stavropol Krai (649,000 trips) Regions that saw significant growth in tourism were those actively developing their tourist infrastructure and introducing new routes. These include Tuva, Sevastopol, Karachay-Cherkessia, Dagestan, Amur Oblast, and North Ossetia.
