Dubai International Airport Temporarily Suspended Operations Amid Air Defense Systems Activity
Dubai International Airport briefly halted operations following reports of possible drone activity in the vicinity of the airport. The temporary restrictions were implemented due to the activation of air defense systems.
Videos circulating on social media allegedly show footage of a morning drone strike at the airport. However, as of publication, these claims have not been officially confirmed.
Later, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported that airport operations had begun to gradually resume.
The airport administration clarified that since March 7, operations have been partially restored. A limited number of flights are now being conducted from both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the nearby Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
However, schedules continue to be adjusted, and further changes are possible. Passengers are advised not to head to the airport until their airline has directly confirmed their flight.
