Russian Transport Ministry Prepares Preliminary Schedule for Evacuation Flights from Middle East Until March 7

Russia continues to evacuate its citizens from Middle Eastern countries using both domestic and foreign airlines. A preliminary schedule for evacuation flights has been set up until March 7, according to the Russian Ministry of Transport. The ministry does not rule out that the process could take up to 10 days.
In total, 34 evacuation flights were carried out by airlines on March 2 and 3, bringing back around 6,000 Russians. On March 4, another 7,100 people are expected to be evacuated on 34 flights.
The ministry clarified that the skies remain closed in six countries: Bahrain, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, and Kuwait.
Russian airlines have been advised to suspend ticket sales to Middle Eastern countries until March 7.
