Wage Gap in Russia Reaches 200,000 Rubles Between Highest and Lowest Earners

Average salaries in Russia vary significantly depending on the region. According to data from the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (EMISS), the gap between the highest and lowest average salary reached 200,049 rubles ($2,500) in 2025, reports TASS.

The highest average monthly nominal salary was recorded in Magadan Oblast at 244,130 rubles ($3,050), while the lowest was in Ingushetia at 44,081 rubles ($550).

In the previous year, the gap between the highest and lowest average salaries was 154,551 rubles ($1,930). The same regions led and lagged behind: in Magadan Oblast, the average salary was 193,482 rubles ($2,420), and in Ingushetia, it was 38,931 rubles ($485).
