Russia plans to intensify knowledge exchange between regions on the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko announced at a meeting of the State Council Commission on Data Economy, where key issues of AI development were discussed.

According to Grigorenko, for the large-scale rollout of AI across the country, it is necessary to involve Russian regions in the process and establish regular information exchange between the center and the regions. The State Council Commission can serve as a platform for aggregating regional experience and analyzing proposals coming from the federal subjects.

"Large-scale AI implementation requires not only the creation of new solutions but also systematic exchange of practices. It is important for us to collect a complete picture of how regions are already using these technologies and identify areas with the greatest impact. The State Council Commission on Data Economy can become a single point for collecting regional experience, proposals, and their subsequent development. This will allow for efficient coordination with the central AI headquarters and making balanced decisions," the deputy prime minister noted.

Additionally, the meeting discussed the development of a framework bill on AI regulation. The Commission will serve as a channel for collecting feedback and proposals from regions on regulatory issues related to artificial intelligence technologies.
