Angara Rocket Production to be Relocated from Moscow to Omsk

Production of Angara carrier rockets is planned to be concentrated at the Poliot manufacturing facility in Omsk, TASS reports, citing a presentation by Dmitry Baranov, Deputy CEO of Roscosmos for rocket projects.

This involves transferring the production of these rockets to Omsk, where a complete production cycle will be established.

The materials also specify that the Angara-A5M modification is an improved version of the base Angara-A5. The rocket is equipped with an updated liquid propellant rocket engine, the RD-191M, which offers enhanced energy performance.

Earlier, the third stage of the first flight-ready Angara-A5 rocket was delivered to the Omsk facility from the Moscow site of the Khrunichev Center for final assembly and testing.
