The MC-21 prototype aircraft, equipped with Russian systems and assemblies, successfully completed a 3.5-hour test flight. The main task of the flight was to check the operation of on-board radio electronic equipment (avionics), the results of which were positively evaluated by specialists.

Two MC-21 prototypes are participating in the import substitution program. The first aircraft is equipped with a Russian avionics system, a domestic auxiliary power plant, air conditioning and pressure control systems. Russian lighting equipment, control panels for aircraft systems, as well as domestic components in the power supply system, hydraulic system and landing gear are installed on board.

The second prototype is being prepared for the start of ground certification tests in Irkutsk. This aircraft has completely replaced foreign systems and components with domestic analogues. The integrated control system, power supply system, fuel level sensors, bearings and other elements have undergone import substitution.

Currently, specialists continue to work on improving the characteristics of import-substituted systems.
