According to the results of the first half of the year, the Russian ruble strengthened against the dollar the most of all world currencies. This is reported by having analyzed the data of the stock exchanges.

Since the beginning of the year, the ruble has grown by 44.7% against the US currency. The Hungarian forint (+17%) and the Swedish krona (+16.5%) lag significantly behind the ruble in this indicator. The top five strengthened currencies also included the Czech Republic (+15.8%) and the Icelandic krona (15%).

The anti-leader in the ranking is the Argentine peso. Since the beginning of the year, it has weakened against the dollar by 13.5%. The Turkish lira (-11.2%) and the Libyan dinar (-9.1%) showed similar dynamics.
