The Government of the Russian Federation has updated the Strategy for the development of the shipbuilding industry, calculated until 2050.

According to the updated strategy, its main objectives will be:

- increasing production capacity to the level of utilization of existing production facilities of 61% by 2036 and up to 73% by 2050;

gt;- ensuring the fulfillment of the state defense order in terms of increasing the share of the civilian fleet of domestic production to 61% by 2036 and to 64% by 2050, the share of production vessels from the total volume of shipbuilding to 50% by 2036 and to 80% by 2050;lt;/p> - an increase in the number of vessels plying the Northern Sea Route to 51 by 2036 and to 135 by 2050;/p>

gt;- ensuring import substitution of the range of marine components manufactured in the Russian Federation up to 50% by 2036 and up to 80% by 2050;

- expansion of the research and development program;

- increasing the investment attractiveness of the industry;

lt;p;gt;- elimination of administrative barriers.

The government plans to allocate over 500 billion rubles in support of manufacturers and customers of ships and components in the next 6 years. It is noted that this is a record amount of financing for the industry.
