Roscosmos and KNKA signed a memorandum on the creation of a lunar power plant

Roscosmos and the Chinese National Space Administration have signed a memorandum on the creation of a lunar power plant. The document was included in the package of agreements signed following the meeting of the presidents of Russia and China.

Fundamental space research will be conducted at the future station. The Russian power plant will become part of the International Scientific Lunar Station project, which is scheduled to be launched in 2036.

The project has already received international support, with 13 countries joining it, in addition to Russia and China.
