The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not observing the truce announced by Moscow.

The Russian Armed Forces strictly observe the ceasefire regime during the truce announced by Moscow. Thus, starting at 00:00 on May 8, all groups of Russian troops in the zone of their military operations completely stopped fighting, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

However, according to the ministry, the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not stopped conducting military operations against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have made two attempts to break through the state border of Russia in the Kursk region, as well as attacks in the area of Dzerzhinsk in the DPR.

"The Russian Armed Forces are responding in a mirror manner to violations of the ceasefire regime by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and will continue to act appropriately to the prevailing situation," the Defense Ministry said.
