The State Duma proposed to print images of Kiev and Odessa on new banknotes

The updated banknotes will have the inscription "Hero City of the Great Patriotic War". In addition, modern security features will be placed on the banknotes: holograms depicting the St. George Ribbon and microtext with quotes from front-line letters.

According to one of the initiators, State Duma Deputy Sergei Mironov, this will help strengthen the sense of patriotism among citizens, especially among young people, and turn the use of banknotes into a daily history lesson.
