The German defense concern has launched the first plant in Ukraine

The opening of the Rheinmetal Ukrainian plant was announced by the head of the German concern Armin Papperger. In an interview with TSN, he called the Ukrainian defense industry "our partner".

«Now we have a manufacturing facility and a maintenance facility, — he said.

According to Papperger, the company is preparing to release the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle at the end of the year.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov then noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia.

This was confirmed on Saturday by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev:

«We are looking forward to the festive Russian fireworks right at the factory.».
