Minister of Agriculture Oxana Lut and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov presented the strategy for training personnel for the agro-industrial complex. The program was presented at the XII Congress "Innovative Practice: Science + Business".
The main focus is on integrating vocational guidance into school programs and developing the system of agricultural education. As part of the federal project "Cadr in АПК", 1,000 agricultural classes have already been opened in rural schools. By 2030, it is planned to increase this number to 18,000, which will completely change the approach to early vocational guidance in rural areas. The Ministry of Education, for its part, is strengthening this work through the "Ticket to the Future" project and vocational guidance courses such as "Russia - My Horizons".
Oxana Lut emphasized that today about 40% of the staffing needs of the agro-industrial complex are met by graduates of the system of secondary vocational education. Starting next year, a special grant "AgroProfi" will be launched to modernize agricultural colleges. Agricultural universities, in turn, are positioned as innovation centers. Seven universities subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture are participating in the "Priority-2030" program aimed at developing science.
Kravtsov and Lut stressed the importance of forming not only professional skills but also value orientations in young people.
"Popularization of the agro-industrial complex is very important. Our industry is interesting, modern, and science-intensive. You can work, create, and achieve good results in it," said Oxana Lut.
