Silver Coin Depicting Don Stavropигиальный Male Monastery to be Released into Circulation

Starting tomorrow, on November 27th, a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 25 rubles titled "Don Stavropigial Monastery, Moscow" will be released into circulation. It belongs to the series "Monuments of Russian Architecture." As reported today by the press service of the Bank of Russia, the coin is made of 155.5 grams of silver with a purity of 925 and has a diameter of 60 mm. On the obverse side of the coin, there is the state emblem of the Russian Federation and inscriptions such as "RUSSIAN FEDERATION", "BANK OF RUSSIA", "25 RUBLES", "2025" and others. On the reverse side of the commemorative coin, the Don Monastery is depicted in relief against a background of clouds made using laser matting technique. Around the edge, there are also inscriptions "DON MONASTERY" and "MOSCOW". The coin is minted in "proof" quality. It is reported that it will be issued in a limited edition of one thousand pieces.
