Perm Investigative Committee Opens Criminal Case Over Theft of 100 Million Rubles in State Defense Contract Execution

In the Perm region, law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal case concerning a particularly large-scale theft in the implementation of a state defense order, according to a press release from the regional branch of the Federal Security Service (FSB). According to the investigation, the head of a commercial company, in collusion with the leadership of a defense enterprise fulfilling a state order, embezzled more than 100 million rubles allocated from the federal budget for the purchase of technological equipment. A fictitious contract was concluded with the supplier of the products, and the received money was divided. A criminal case has been initiated under the article "Fraud committed by an organized group in an especially large amount." Operational-search and investigative actions are being carried out against the suspects.
