Ex-CEO of Energia, Solntsev, Sentenced for Fraud Involving Nearly 840 Million Rubles

Former CEO of the Rocket and Space Corporation "Energia" Vladimir Solntsev has been sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud.

As reported by TASS from the court press service, Solntsev will serve eight years in a general regime correctional colony. Additionally, a civil lawsuit for 839 million rubles was upheld against him.

During the hearings, it was proven that the former CEO of "Energia" embezzled 839 million rubles from Roscosmos. Specifically, he colluded with accomplices and inflated the price of purchasing electronic component base. The difference was divided among the participants. It is known that one of them soon passed away, while another is involved in a separate criminal case, which is currently suspended.
