In the wake of a massive drone attack in Novorossiysk, residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, and a vessel in the port have been damaged, according to the head of Novorossiysk, Andrey Kravchenko.
At present, one civilian has been reported injured. Additionally, three crew members of the damaged ship were also injured.
The city administration has declared a state of emergency and established an operational headquarters.
Damage has been reported in four multi-apartment buildings and two private homes. The most severe damage occurred in a multi-apartment building on Gubernskogo Street. Facades and vehicles in courtyards have also been affected.
Debris from the drones damaged a tank and pier belonging to "Chernomortransneft," the container terminal of Novorossiysk Nodal Transport and Forwarding Enterprise, and an oil depot at the "Sheshkharis" complex. All fires that broke out at these facilities have been extinguished.
In the port, one civilian vessel was damaged. Three crew members were hospitalized.
A total of 172 personnel and 51 units of equipment have been deployed to address the aftermath of the attack. Temporary accommodation points have been set up at School No. 29 and the Technical and Economic Lyceum for those affected.
Authorities have stated that they will provide all necessary assistance to those affected. Following an inspection of the damage, the administration will begin drafting a restoration plan.
Earlier, the "Delo" Group of Companies reported on the condition of container terminals after the drone attack on Novorossiysk. According to the press service of "Delo" Group, the operational activities of "DeloPorts" terminals continue as usual despite the incident involving fragments of a fallen drone.
