Central Bank to Issue Coin Marking 50th Anniversary of Soft Landing of Descent Modules on Venus

A commemorative silver coin titled "50th Anniversary of Soft Landing of Descent Modules on Venus and Obtaining Panoramic Images of Venus Surface" will be issued in Russia starting November 17, according to the Central Bank. The coin, with a face value of 3 rubles, will be part of the "Space" series. It can be purchased at the "Goznak" mint and banks that have signed an agreement with the Central Bank for its distribution. - In 1975, the space probes "Venera-9" and "Venera-10" landed on Venus and transmitted the first photographs of its surface back to Earth.
