Ukrainian intelligence services attempted to commit a terrorist act against one of the senior officials of the Russian state. The crime was planned during his visit to the graves of close relatives at the Troekurovskoye cemetery.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) revealed today that Ukrainian intelligence services used a recruited illegal migrant from the Central Asian region, Shamzov Jaloliddin Kurbanovich, born in 1979, who resides in Kyiv and was wanted for murder and illegal arms trafficking, as well as two other convicted drug-dependent Russian citizens, for the preparation of the murder. The latter have already been detained in Moscow. In preparation for the crime, the participants used a surveillance camera disguised as a vase of flowers with remote control capabilities, which transmitted data abroad.
However, the terrorist act against the senior Russian official was not completed, as it was prevented by FSB officers. Communication devices were seized from the suspects, and correspondence confirming their involvement in the crime was found.
"The Ukrainian regime, acting under the guidance of Western intelligence services, is preparing similar crimes in other Russian regions," warned the FSB of Russia.
