Osyakov Becomes Deputy of Belousov

A new Deputy Minister of Defense was announced at the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers (CDM) of the CIS member states. Vasily Osyakov was introduced by the head of the Russian military department, Andrey Belousov. Osyakov previously served as the First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Introducing his deputy, Belousov noted that Osyakov "is known to many from his previous work." At the CIS CDM meeting in Almaty, Andrey Belousov also emphasized that Russia will contribute to equipping the national armies of CIS countries with modern weaponry and share the experience gained during the Special Military Operation.
