The Federation Council Approves the Law on Year-Round Conscription

The Federation Council has approved the law on military conscription throughout the year.
Yesterday, the State Duma adopted the law on year-round military conscription.
From now on, conscription into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will be carried out throughout the year - from January 1 to December 31, rather than twice a year during specified periods.
The law also provides that conscription notices will be sent to conscripts without being tied to a specific month.
