Four individuals suspected of kidnapping have been detained in Saint Petersburg.

Four men have been detained in St. Petersburg, and criminal cases have been initiated against them for kidnapping, robbery, and attempted kidnapping. The investigation believes that on October 23rd of this year, the suspects, while near a house on Viazovaya Street, attempted to kidnap a man. However, circumstances beyond their control prevented them from completing their plan. Then, on the evening of October 25th, another man was kidnapped. This incident took place near a store on Krestovsky Island. The perpetrators forced him to transfer 210,000 rubles and also demanded that he give them 10 million rubles. "Thanks to the coordinated efforts of investigators from the Russian Investigative Committee, operational officers from the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), the participants in the crime were detained during the liberation of the kidnapped man. The investigation is carrying out a range of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Searches have been conducted at the homes of the suspects, and the issue of selecting a measure of restraint for them is being resolved," reports the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee.
