The central bank lowered the key rate to 17%

At the last meeting, the Board of Directors of the Central Bank decided to reduce the key interest rate. The rate has been reduced by 1 percentage point to 17% per annum.

This is the third reduction in the key rate since the beginning of this year. At the June meeting, the regulator lowered it by 1 percentage point, to 20%, after a long period of keeping it at 21%. In July, the rate was reduced by another 2 percentage points to 18% per annum.
