22 Russian banks and 18 individuals have been sanctioned by the European Union.

The 18th package of EU sanctions against Russia has entered into force, informs Kommersant.

The restrictions affected 18 individuals and 41 legal entities. The list includes 22 Russian banks, including T-Bank, Surgutneftegazbank and Yandex-Bank. Among the individuals sanctioned are Karen Shakhnazarov, CEO of Mosfilm, Olga Burova, Deputy Head of the Crimean Ministry of Culture, Vladimir Kuryanov, Acting Rector of the Crimean Federal University, and Tatiana Litvinenko, a PhosAgro shareholder.;

Rubin NPP, Aeroscan LLC, Polymer JSC and the Moscow Mechanical Plant of Special Equipment were subject to new sanctions., as well as a number of Chinese and Indian companies.

In addition to Russian citizens, the European Union has extended restrictions to some citizens of China, India and Iran. They are prohibited from entering EU countries. All their assets will be frozen.
